Privacy policy
This policy describes what DiagramDock does with your data. The short version is that your diagrams never leave your browser — but the long version matters, because "we don't collect anything" is rarely completely true and we would rather be precise.
What we store, and where
Diagrams, images and preferences are stored in your browser using IndexedDB and LocalStorage. These are browser storage mechanisms on your own device. DiagramDock has no server-side database, no user accounts and no file storage, so there is nowhere for your diagrams to be sent even if we wanted them.
Diagram content
Diagram content — the shapes, text, notes and images you add — is never transmitted. Editing, layout, thumbnails and every export format are generated on your device. If you disconnect from the network, the editor continues to work.
Images
Images you insert are read locally with the browser's FileReader API, compressed, and stored as blobs alongside your diagrams. They are not uploaded.
Exports
Exports are generated in your browser and saved by your browser's download mechanism. No export passes through a server.
What the hosting provider sees
This is the part where "we collect nothing" would be misleading. DiagramDock is served as static files from a hosting provider. Like any website, requesting those files means your browser contacts that provider, which will typically log the request — IP address, timestamp, user agent, and which file was requested. We do not control those logs and they are a property of how the web works, not of DiagramDock. They contain no diagram content, because diagram content is never sent.
Analytics
There is currently no analytics on this site. If analytics is added in future, this policy will be updated before it is enabled, it will not collect diagram content, and it will be stated plainly here rather than buried.
Cookies
DiagramDock sets no cookies. See the cookie policy for the distinction between cookies and the browser storage this app does use.
Clearing your data
You can remove everything at any time from the privacy centre, which shows what is stored and offers deletion for diagrams, images and preferences separately. Clearing your browser's site data has the same effect and cannot be undone by us, because we hold no copy.
Children
DiagramDock is a general-purpose tool with no accounts and collects no personal data, so it does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, the changelog will say so.
