Browser storage

What is stored, how much space it uses, and how to reclaim it.

The privacy centre shows how many diagrams and images are stored and roughly how much space DiagramDock is using.

Browsers report storage coarsely and often include padding, so treat the figures as approximate. They cover all of DiagramDock rather than any single diagram.

  • Clean unused images removes assets no diagram references
  • Delete all diagrams, delete images, and reset preferences are separate actions
  • Every destructive action requires typing a confirmation word

Protection from automatic removal

By default, browsers may delete a site's stored data when the device runs low on space. After your first save, DiagramDock asks the browser to keep its data. Each browser decides on its own: Chrome often agrees without asking, Firefox may show a prompt, and Safari mostly ignores the request.

The privacy centre shows whether the request was granted. If not, you can ask again from there. Either way, a workspace backup is still the only copy that survives clearing browser data.
